Earth Day Launch + Dissemination of Create for Climate Catalogue

Cover artwork by joint first place competition winner Carolyn Koh On Earth Day 2019, we took the opportunity to send out 80 physical copies of our Create for Climate art catalogue - a catalogue of works by young artists imagining a fossil-free future, alongside original articles by The Straits Times Environment Correspondent Audrey Tan , 350.org East Asia’s Regional Coordinator Liangyi Chang, Bernadette Maheandiran of investments watchdog Market Forces , strategist and curator Sarah Ichioka , Director of Desire Lines, and - from the rising generation - Aidan Mock, a student member Fossil Free Yale-NUS College . These copies go towards our contributing artists and writers, and also to individuals in cultural, ministerial and financial leadership positions in Singapore. Create for Climate Artworks exhibited in Jakarta during COP24

Photo @artivistsatsea In a show of regional solidarity, and fresh exposure of participating young artists' talents, the shortlisted Create for Climate artworks were exhibited in Jakarta, concurrently with December's COP24 UN Climate Summit in Poland. Competition Winners Announced

#CreateforClimateSG winners with jury members and SGEFF team at 3 November awards ceremony. The 1st place works. The winners of the Create for Climate Singapore youth art competition were announced at a full-house awards ceremony at the ArtScience Museum, in partnership with the Singapore Eco Film Festival, on Saturday 3 November 2018. The winners selected by the competition jury are: Joint 1st Place Dhruv Vivek Sharma (13) and Vihaan Kumar (13), "Let's Push the Change"  Koh Hui Xin, Carolyn (18), "Gaia Rising" Joint 2nd Place Bian Siyuan, Philippe Madrid Israel and Chan Lok Yong (all 17), "Journey Beyond Pollution" Siobhan Wong Jia Jia (23), Untitled Joint 3rd Place Aanya Rao (13), Untitled Ong Wueng Ling (17), Untitled The artworks of the winners can be viewed along their short- and long-listed peers in the Create for Climate SG online gallery . View Create for Climate Singapore's Shortlisted Artworks at the ArtScience Museum 1 - 4 November

ArtScience Museum will host the Create for Climate Singapore exhibition in partnership with Singapore Eco Film Festival. Those in Singapore are warmly invited to view the shortlisted entries to the Create for Climate youth art competition, which will be on view at the ArtScience Museum from 1st - 4th November 2018, in partnership with the Singapore Eco Film Festival. Register for your free SGEFF pass here . An awards ceremony celebrating competition entrants will be held at the exhibition from 6-7pm on Saturday 3rd November. RSVP for the awards ceremony is essential, via this link . The Create for Climate Singapore competition is supported by 350 East Asia , curated pro bono by Desire Lines Pte Ltd , and coordinated in partnership with the growing number of Singaporean volunteers who seek a swift and just transition to a clean green society, and away from destructive fossil fuels.

New Jury Member and Exhibition at the Singapore Eco Film Festival

We are delighted to announce that Ms Tulika Kapoor, Co-Founder and Programme and Partnership Director of the Singapore Eco Film Festival has joined our competition jury . This deepens the Create for Climate Singapore Youth Art Competition's relationship with the Singapore Eco Film Festival , leading up to the exhibition of shortlisted entries at the ArtScience Museum during the Festival in early November.
